Mari and Michael were quite the adorable and fun couple. They met in Pittsburgh and even though they are no longer living in the area, they wanted to capture Pittsburgh in their engagement shoot. We shot along Heritage Trail, by Lake Elizabeth, and at Randyland in the Northside. They told me they were up for anything in the shoot, but only requested Pittsburgh somehow be a focus. We had a lot of fun doing a variety of shots from more formal, to candid, to absolute silly poses throughout the morning. When we got to Lake Elizabeth, I told the couple they were welcome to write anything on the dry-erase board that would capture them as a couple. The couple has been together nine years since they started dating in college. Mari chuckled and wrote "Finally". I was trying to hold the camera steady cause I kept laughing catching Michael's reaction to what she wrote. It was not what I was expecting her to write which made the situation even more funny.
The outfits they brought for the day could not have been any more perfect and worked very well for all the locations we had picked out. I wish I had Mari along as dress consultant for all of my future shoots. The outfits really helped to make the photos all the more beautiful.
I wish Mari and Michael the best of luck and congratulations!
