It is embarrassing to admit that I grew up two blocks from Garfield's Penn Ave and never took the time to appreciate it.  Several weeks ago, I met up with other photographers to capture the architecture, but was instead amazed by the plethora and richness of color radiating down the street.  I knew several new art galleries and restaurants moved into the area but was not expecting to see ordinary houses and businesses painted with such vividness.  I was unable to stop snapping photographs of every color and unique piece of art, and I know there was plenty that I missed. I am looking forward to going back to check out more of the local businesses, restaurants, and galleries, and of course, photograph more.
